  1. The greatest storm that was ever witnessed in this country, occurred about 33 yers ago. Houses were knocked down, tress were uprooted. Railway carriages and trucks blown off the track and in many cases lives were lost

  2. About six months ago a great flood occurred between Moohane Railway Bridge and Ballycar Station. For a distance of one mile the track was submerged in water. So great was the danger that people travelling to and from those points had to do so at their own risk.
