- Tramps go from house to house looking for charity. It was usually the same people that used to come. They used to leave a basket and they used to sell things. The people used to buy a lot of things from them. The people used to have a great welcome for them. They used not stay long at each house only about ten minutes. They used to sleep by the side of the road. The people gave them food. They had cars for traveling from place to place. In crowds they used to come. They used to have canvas bags.
- The tramp who comes the oftenest to my house goes from house to house. His name is Jimmie Hehir. He stays in a galvanized house inside in Doora. He sells nothing. Some people have not much welcome for him. He does not stay long. He hardly ever asks for charity. He never says any prayer.(continues on next page)
