    A stye - look through a gold ring.
    Whooping cough - If you meet a man on a white horse whatever he says cures the cough. Another cure is to boil turkey grass and drink the juice.
    Told by father of Philomena Brooks (Joe Brooks).

    Whooping cough - A man riding a white horse and whatever he would say cures it.
    A toothache - A lick of a lizard
    Told by father of Billy McDonnell (Dour McDonnell).
    10. Old Cures.
    Breast Bone down - It is said to get a penny, a candle and a tumbler. Put the penny on the breast bone light the candle turn the tumbler down on the candle. The suction caused by the lighting candle cures the breast bone.
