    Fog on the hills for rain and fog on the glens for sun.
    When the road dust goes with the wind it is a sign of rain.
    The "siogsins" are out we are near rain.
    Smoke going straight up is a sign of frost.
    Smoke going down towards the ground is a sign of rain.
    The falling of the soot is considered a sign of rain also.
