  1. 1) The Back Gate of Quinville. Here the noise of chains used be heard, a black dog and sometimes a gentleman dressed in the fashion of an early period used appear anytime after midnight.

    3) The field in Coolshamroge next to Ballyhannon, is noted for people being set astray in the night and having to wander around all night not having the least notion where they were, or where they were going.

    4) Hazelwood Gate. Here a white woman used appear. It is said that in former days a woman was here torn to pieces by a dog.

    5) The front gate of Quinville was famous for the vicious dog that used attack everyone going that road after twelve o'clock.
