Once upon a time a giant and his wife lived in Clonosquer. They were very strong. One day both of them went up to a mountain near by.
Then the giant took up a very large flat rock and threw it a very long distance. Then his wife took up a round rock and threw it but did not throw it as far as her husband.
In later times priests used to kneel on the flat rock and the prints of their knees are their still. The two rocks are to be seen in John Nuggent's field in Clonosquer.
