  1. One one occasion the monastery of Mochulla was being attacked by a Pagan leader called Eochy. The saint lost no time in summoning his converts within the ramparts. These were successful in repelling attack after attack until they got exhausted from want of water. Mochulla prayed to God and a spring miraculously burst through the ground. The gallant defenders had then water sufficient to allay their thirst and Eochy and his attackers had to go away foiled in their attempt to sack the monastery.
