  1. One time a man was travelling around seeking work. He got work from a farmer in Gort. The man told him that there was a big house built near by and to sleep in it. He also told him that there was plenty of turf, a bed and a bed in the house. The man did as he was told. He went in and put down a fire. He sat on the stool and began to get his pipe ready for a good smoke.
    At about 12 o'clock the door opened and in walked a yound[?] man dressed in white. The man said to the stranger, "Here have a dug of the pipe." The stranger refused and said "Do you know who I am." "I don't" said the man. "Well" said the stranger, If everyone spoke to me like you there are many who would be
