Haslems, Cooneys.
Most of the younger members emigrated to Australia. There was free emigration in those days. Some of the families are no longer remembered in the parish. In Cloongaheen and Cragg town lands where there are now about a dozen houses, Mr O'Neill (already referred to) remembers to have seen 50 families. - 16. A tradition exists that when Rapparee O'Hogan was guiding Sarsfield to Ballyneety (his route followed closely on what is now known as the Gap road - a mountain pass between Kilbane and Killaloe. It is said that he passed out from Limerick towards Blackwater (where the Shannon Scheme works are now situated) and proceeded over Ballymoloney at that time densely wooded - through Kilbane across the Gap road and on to OGonnelloe where he crossed into Tipperary above Loch Derg.
