  1. Here are a number of weather signs. When the wind is from the North and from the East the weather is generally good, but if it rains when the wind is from the North and East, it rains very much and the weather and is very cold. When the wind is from the South and West the weather is generally good. White frost is a very sure sign of rain. Sea gulls come inland and land in fields before stormy and rainy weather. Goats come in from the hills just before rain and go out again before it stops. Here is an old saying, " rainbow in the morning is a shepherds warning. A rainbow in the night is a shepherds delight. To see the water falling quickly in the Shannon is a sign of rain. To see the Shannon keeping up fairly well
