  1. Our Patron saint was St Senan. He lived in an Island in the Shannon near Kilrush namely Scattery Island. He had his church and monastry and church there. Parts of his church can be seen yet.
    He was burried in Kilaloe. The[re] is a blessed well dedicateed to him in Low Street and the visitng day is August the fifteenth. I never heard of any prayer to the saint. No child that I heard of was called after the saint.
