  1. On the 6th January the annual match making starts (and end and ends on the day previous to Ash Wednesday namely Shrove Tuesday)
    In every part of the country there are people who are recognised as the official match makers and it is those who select the light people to suit each other and arranges the marriage
    Around the Christmas and all during the Winter it is usual that dances are held in country houses where the young peoples gather to enjoy themselves to the music of a Melodian or Violin. To those houses strays the match maker on the excuse that he on some journey and hearing
