    Long ago people never bought anything they could possibly make themselves.

    Long ago people never bought anything they could possibly make themselves
    They used make their own candles from tallow. They would not buy the tallow, but they would kill a goat or a sheep and with the fat of the animal they would make the candle.
    In every house there was a mould used for the making of the candles. It was the same as a pump and through the middle they used put a cotton tape. They would melt the fat and put it into the mould to cool it and it turned out a long thick candle. Another kind of candle was . People used get long pieces of
