  1. Mr Patrick Connolly, Corragarry, Cootehill was the best basket maker of his time.
    This is the way he used to make them. First he would cut a bundle of sallow rods and let them season for a week or two. Then he would twist the rods into one another till he would have the basket made.
    He made creels also, and they were made much the same as the baskets only much larger. He makes an odd basket yet for the people of this district.
    He is now an old man and has left his home. He is now living in Owen Smith's, Corragarry.
