  1. About seventy years ago there was a lady hedge teacher. She taught in a small house at Tullyinchin near the old race-course of Cootehill. The name of the teacher was Mrs McCabe. She was about forty years of age or so.
    Every child brought a penny every Monday morning to the teacher. After many years teaching some dispute arose and the school was closed. The people were very sorry after her because she was a good teacher.
