    had to stay two minutes more they would have been killed. When they came to the next house, the cart was turned upside down on the street. It was the worst storm in living memory.

  2. During the winter of 1834 the people suffered terribly from the great snowstorm which occurred in that year.
    The snow fell heavily for two or three days, and at the end of that time the snow was lying three feet deep on the ground. The snow lasted for three weeks and then it began to rain.
