  1. About one hundred years ago there lived a family called Mulligan in the townland of Killarue, Cootehill, Co. Cavan.
    One day while the father and mother were in the fair their two sons who were about twenty and twenty-two years of age went out in a boat on the lake. When they were a while rowing the boat overturned and they were both drowned. Some of the neighbours saw them and took them out. They brought them up to their own house and stretched them
