  1. There is a crock of gold hidden in Leinster's Fort, Dernakesh, Cootehill. It is supposed to have been hidden there by the Danes.
    One day two men went to the fort to dig for the crock of gold but they did not find it that day. They went back the next morning to dig but when they reached it the clay was rolled back and there was no sign of where they had been digging the day before. So they went home and they did not come back again.
    It is likely that the treasure is there still.
