  1. About seventy years ago there was a crock of gold hidden in Degnavanty fort by a man named James Boyle.
    A man named Michael McGovern made up his mind one day to dig for the gold. He was prepared to dig for the gold the next day, but that night he had a curious dream.
    He dreamt that anyone who would dig for the gold would become blind. So the man, fearing he would lose his eyesight, never dug for the gold. The gold is supposed to be still in the fort.
