  1. There is a (hughe) huge stone on a hill close to this school. I is lying at the top of a hill and is thirty inches broad and forty inches high. It is wide at the bottom and at the top it is is in a point. There are peculiar strokes on it which nobody knows. Some people say it was a giant that was buried under it and others say it was leader in a battle. This stone is in Mr Cunilin's field and in the townland of Killyclare.
