  1. One night about eleven o'clock two men were coming home from the Pictures at Cootehill. When they were coming down to Drumgoon Bridge they saw a light in Mr. Fairbaisne's field. The two men went back and went into the field. One of the men fainted and the other got afraid and none of the men went up to see what the light was.

  2. One morning Patrick Connolly was going to his work down the bog road when he heard a noise of fiddles playing music, and people clapping their hands and shouting. He looked all round him but he could see nothing and all the noise was beside a Fairy Bush
