    Another story which I heard happened about a perch from my home.

    Thomas Gartlan's our next door neighbour. One day she was sitting spinning when a mare and foal came up to her and started to graze beside her. They were annoying her and she thought of a plan of getting rid of them. She overlooked them until they sank down in the earth. The shape of the mare and foal is still to be seen and the hole is called "Poll a searaigh
