  2. A lot of townlands around got Irish names long ago and the name ours got was Cormoy which means 'the round hill of the little plain'. It is very small townland and there are not many houses in it. There are only five or six houses in it altogether. There is a lake in this townland and a lot of little rivers separate a lot of the farms. There are only two families in this townland that have the same name namely McCabe. On a lot of the farms the old people can show
