be left standing for a day to get strong. This tea is said to be a good tonic. Some people smoke cowfoot.
Tea was made from the leaves of an alder tree, but some people think this tree unlucky as Our Lord was beaten with an alder branch and Judas hung himself on an alder tree.
A cure for the cold was made like this
Get some Flax and dandlelions. Boil the flax and strain it; then boil the dandelions and strain the juice off them. Then mix the juice of the lemons with the juice of the flax and dandelions. This drink will cure the cold.
