  1. Another morning my father rose early to go to fish. He went too early and when he went to the lake it began to get dark. He had two rods with him and when he went to put on a worm the hook fell off. He could not get it on a heep of wee faries began to laugh at him. One wee man said “I’ll put it on for you”. My father said “If you don’t clear out of that I will give you a skite of the fishingrod”. He lifted up the other rod and he put on a worm and threw out they began to laugh again. They began to say: Look at the fellow fishing without a hook. He pulled in the rod and there was no hook on the line. He rolled up the line and came home. He had the two hooks on [?] when he looked again.
