  1. There was a woman one time who lived in Killybeugh and she could turn herself into a hare which was called a bewitched hare. One time men were hunting and they saw a hare. The hounds followed the hare till they came to a house. When it was going in to the house one of the hounds bit it. When they went into the house there was an old woman sitting on a stool bathing her leg. This old woman was the hare that the hounds followed.
