  1. Three holes are made six feet apart in a straight line. The butt at which the game starts is about six feet from the first hole. The game starts off by each player shooting a marble from the butt to the first hole. If nobody succeeds in getting the hole they shoot again from where the marble is until someone gets the hole. This person then is allowed to take a span [?] from the hole and he may shoot to hit one of the other marbles if they are near him {or he may shoot towards the second hold.} He gets another shot every time he strikes an opponent. His object is to put the others away from the hole so
