The blacksmith told him to sit in his chair while he was getting on his coat but when the devil tried to rise he could not. He told the man he would give him seven more years if he got away. The blacksmith let the devil go home. When the seven years were up the devil came back again. The blacksmith told him to drive a nail while he was getting ready but when the devil caught the hammer he could not let it go. He gave the man seven years if he would get away . The blacksmith let him away again.
Again the seven years were up and the devil came back again. They started off and they came to a public house. The blacksmith told the devil to go into his purse and make money. When they went to the public house the blacksmith handed the purse to the man and told him to open it. But the coin began to jump about the purse and the man handed it(continues on next page)- Collector
