For to miss such a joke
You will find it a pity
For our Irish Boys are the fellows for fun.

These lines I intend to incline to no party
For to favour no sex
In church or in state
If you only would listen
Grant me your direction
Some tricks you will laugh at
For me to relate.

When Daniel O'Connell he first was elected
His very first claim
Was a member for Clare
The Cockney's all eager
And crowds stood around him
With the cheers of our Irishmen
Rented the air.
Being anxious to see
This great man of the people
The John Bulls in thousands
