- Patrick Murray of Coolnacarte, Scotshouse, Clones, can cure a sprain, he rubs the sore spot and pulls it, in doing so he says a prayer. He is over seventy years of age. The person who attends him with this ailment must visit him three times.
- James Boylan of Scotshouse can cure the rickets because he is the seven generation of blacksmiths.
