    I
It been' on the 12th of July
    Those Brunswicker's famed "No surrender"
There flags they did wave upon high
To pull down the papist Defender
The North we did travel all through
    Despising King Georg's permission
The Papists we thought to subdue
But we met with severe opposition
Which leaves us to bleed in our Gore.
    II
They embellished their churches all round
We decked them with rockets and lilies
We played for them "Croppies Lie Down"
We played that in honour of Billy
But as soon as the play did begin
    Their clergy commanded the battle
Those rebels they ne'er lost a limb
Tho' the bullets among them did rattle
    Priest-craft's a dangerous thing.
