  1. The king of Ballylucas has a stripped cow to sell
    He brought her twice to Carrick and three times to Clonmel
    He brought her twice to Cappoquinn and three times to Lismore.
    Till the Queen became suspicious her feet were getting sore.
    2nd verse
    Then she hired a friendly neighbour who lived very near.
    And who always did her jobbing when the king was on the beer.
    Says she the king is busy with Marconie's wireless shares.
    I am afraid he wont be able to attend the monthly fairs.
    3rd verse
    There is our favourite cow Bedelia with a spot behind her ear.
    That we have placed in every market since the harvest of last year.
    She's been here upon the pasture since the time that I was young.
    And she nearly kicked the bucket last year with timber tongue,
    4th verse
    His first & last instructions were to give no guarantee.
    But I will tell you all about her for I have known her all my life.
    And the neighbourhood she came from tis there you got the wife
    Be on the market early or else you will loose your fee
