    Brave Windgar team and Carrick-Beg,
    I own I often hear it said,
    That since the deeds of men long dead

    With their brave leader captain Power,
    Who was never known to cower,
    But dash away the love long hour
    And send the ball to score.
    Vice Captain Curry did not fail,
    That gallant hero of the Gael,
    But made his rivals for to quail
    With many a sweet left toe.
    Captain Power that is mentioned in this song is related to Mrs. Ned Kennedy, Rathgormack, Co. Waterford. Michael Kelly of Churchtown, Co. Waterford wrote this song. Mr. Curry who was captain of the team is now living in Monadiha, Co. Waterford. There is no team in Windgap now but it was in it the
