  1. My grand-aunt Cáit Healy had a shop in Rathgormack, Co. Waterford. She used to sell Caps, sugar and sweets. She used to get the goods on credit until she had the money. There were more shops in Rathgormack long ago than now. About twenty years ago there was a man named Casey from Carrick-Beg who sold biscuits after Mass on Sundays. There was a fowl-market held in Carrick on Saturdays about twenty years ago. It is said that if eggs are sold on a Monday the sellers would be selling them for the week.
