  1. There was an old school up in Green's long ago.It was buit with clay and stone. There was only one teacher in it.The Subjects they taught were Latin and English. They had to write with a nail and a slate. The name of the teacher was Fleman. It was near a big tree in the middle of a field. The books were very easy and small. They used have to pay for their education at that time. They used keep going then until they would be fourteen years or more. The schools were very small and shaky at that time. The land was very scarce then and they had to build the schools in bogs and places like that. Some of the schools are like that yet but not quite so bad.
