    Seeing because the print of the cows and calfs hoofs are on it yet and also the print of the pail and stool and spancel. The rock is situated near Knockaderry water works.

  2. How the people used to make tallow candles
    The people used to kill a fat cow or bullock at Christmas. They then separated the fat from the rest of the cow. They melted down the fat to tallow and poured it into moulds. The wick was fixed on a steel rod that ran into two ears at the top of the moulds. They left the moulds to set and when the tallow got hard they had very good tallow candles.
