  1. We sow potatoes in our farm. We sow them every year. The potatoes are sown in drills and in ridges. The drills are opened with a plough or a shovel. The names of the potatoes are Leaguers, Kerr's Pink, Aran Banners, and Irish Queens. The Leaguer is the best of them. The potatoes are left in the heaps for about four months. Then they are turned and left in the heaps until the people are sowing them again. The women cut the sciolláns. We do not spray them at all. We sow about 165 stones of potatoes every year.
