On this page

  1. There are two blessed wells in this parish. One is situated in Killard and the other is situated in Clohanes. People visit them on certain days. The special days are two Sundays and a Thursday. They do rounds at the blessed wells. People drink the water at the wells. They rub it to the part of the body which is affected. They put hand or foot into the water according to where they have the pain. They bring home some of the water. There is an ancient tree near each well.
