    We have St Brigid's Day on the first of February. The people long ago used make a cross and put it on the rafter on St Brigid's night.
    lá 'le Pádraigh
    St Patrick's Day is the 17th March. Every person wears a shamrock in honour of St Patrick. It was an old custom to break the pipes.
    Máirc na hInvae
    On Shrove Tuesday the people make pancakes. They used to put a ring, a piece of timer, a thimble, a sixpence, and a piece of cloth in them.
