  1. There is one well in the Parish of Ennis and its name is Saint John's well. Hundreds of people visit it, on Saint John's day the 24th of June. They pray there all day and anybody that is ill they bless themselves with the holy water and they home bottles of it. Saint John's well is in New Hall. There is money and blessed pictures left at it.

  2. There is a holy well in Magowna. It is in use up to this day. In Magowna there is a well and it is great for curing sore eyes. There is also a holy well near Corofin. It is great for curing warts. There is a holy well in Drumcarren in Maurices Mills which is good for curing sore eyes. There are special days for the well when people would be cured at Magowna and at Drumcarren well - on Mondays and Thursdays.
