  1. There was a man bobbing for eels in Curragh Cross, Erinagh. He was bobbing away and a man came and stood near him - a spirit, a saint I suppose. He asked the man who was bobbing, for an eel.
When the man drew in his bob he had a lot of eels. The old saint asked him for one but the man said "Wait for the next round". He then threw out the bob again and no sooner was it in the water than he pulled it out again. and twice as much eels on it. !Will you give me one now" said the saint. "Wait till the next round said the bobber. So the old man went away and there was never an eel caught in Erinagh since nor never will be.
