    This is a Custom I saw done with the old people: Every Christmas morning they used to get a cup of cold water and while fasting they used to take three sips of the water and say after each sip:
    Fuil is fíon is Fíor-uisce:
    trí níd a tháinig tré thaoibh Críost Amach
    I remember seeing this done when I was a young lad

    This is a Prayer I often heard my Grandmother (R.I.P.) say at night time before going to sleep: I heard it so often that I remember the words:
    Anna, máthair Mhuire,
    Muire, Máthair Chríost,
    Cuirimíd an triúr sin 'dir sinn agus galar
    na leabhthan ár seachaint ó'n dtrom-luighe. Amen.
    Anocht gabliadhain ó anocht agus anocht féin.
    This was a Prayer against Night-mare. (trom lenghe)
