  1. Fairs are held in Tipperary, Cahir and there is an annual fair in Bansha. The only country fair I know of is held in Knockarden in the parish of Latin.
    The buyers sometimes transact buisness in the farmer's houses.
    The town fairs are usually held in the street. Toll is paid on sold cattle and is paid the the Baron of the fair and is from a penny to sixpence according to the size of the beast.
    Luckpenny is given. A bargain is shown by the parties striking hands.
