  1. Cappa Castle is situated in the townland of Cappa Uniache. The West Wall to a height of about 50 feet and the South wall to a locus of the first arch, and small portions of the other two walls remain.
    The second and fourth floors were arched but are now destroyed. The walls are six feet thick and grouted.
    This castle is said to have belonged to the Burke's who castlellated all the valley of the suir.
    A portion of a circular tower or castle, is seen at a distance of some eighty yards from the former. The following is the story of Cappa Castle.
