- If the sun shines very early in the morning rain will soon follow. If it has a watery appearance when it rises it denotes rain. If there is a cirvle near the moon it denotes rain but it denotes that the rain is not near at hand. If the circle is far from the moon it denotes that rain will soon fall. When the stars twinkle frost follows. Dark cloudes denote rain. Mackerl clouds denote a storm. Red clouds at sunset denote good weather. A rainbow in the morning denotes rain but a rainbow in the evening denotes that the rain is passing away.(continues on next page)
