    "Unlucky Signs
It used to be said in this district that if you bring into the house anything on your shoulder you will not grow any bigger.
If you cross your your feet at any time you won't grow any bigger.
If you are going astray in the night turn your coat and stockings inside out and you will go right again.
It is unlucky to meet certain people when you are going to the fair. It is considered lucky to meet other people.
