    A lime kiln
There is an old lime kiln in Murphy's. A kiln is about twenty feet deep and about twelve feet across. It is the shape of an egg.
The fire is lighted with sticks and coal. When it is lighting layers of stones and coal are put on it. When these reduce then more stones are put on which will keep burning a long time.
