Pishogues were ancient charms or spells carried out in Ireland in the earlier times. They were worked in order to take away the luck on produce from the owners of the property. This is one pishogue which was done by the old Irish.
When one person was giving away eggs to another they shook them the way the egg would scatter inside and they would have no chickens.
If one man had a good crop of potatoes and another had a bad crop the person with the bad crop would go to the other man's garden during the night and would put eggs in the drill where the potatoes had been taken out. The purpose of this was to take the good luck from the man with the good crop and he(continues on next page)
