    Chilblains. welts and corn - to boil parsnips with some water, then to pour the water on your sores. Then let the water soak into them.
    Rheumatism cure : To put a raw potato in your pockets.
    Colds : To drink a cupful of boiling milks with a spooful of mustard in it.
    To prevent Colds on chest : Rub ordinary tallow candles on a piece of coarse brown paper. Then put on chest.
    Hoarseness ; Boil an ounce of black currant leaves in one pint of water. Then strain and bottle it. Take a table-spoon-ful twice or three times a day.
    Inflamed eyes ; Get a pennyworth of bluestone. Place enough to cover a sixpence in an ordinary eight ounce
