  1. Festival Customs. 22-12-'37
    1. To bake a cake on November night and to hit it against the front door, and to say, "May this keep hunger away for the next twelve months.
    2. To buy fowl on the feast of St. Martin and to sprinkle the four corners of the house with the blood. It is supposed to keep sickness away.
    3 Not to eat meat on St. Stephen's day. This is supposed to keep sickness away also.
    4. To sprinkle the fields with Easter Water on May day to keep diseases away from the cattle.
    5. To go to St. Johns's well on his feast day, and to light a bonfire also.
    6. To go to St. Coolan's well on his feast day.
